Broken Love
I wish I could unravel my pain
As easily as embroidery thread
I wish I could explain myself
As easy as it is for my hands to
Mindlessly coil textile strands
I wish I could repair us
As easily as I can repair a ripped seam
I wish I could take a needle of love
And a thread of kindness
And fix what is broken between us
I wish our love was like a broken pearl necklace
Where all I have to do is repair the knots
That hold us so closely together
But keeping us safely apart to prevent damage
I wish, fuck, I wish I could fix this
I wish we were tied together by fate
That the strands that bind can be mended
I wish we were embroidery thread
Or a ripped seam or strands of old pearls
I wish I knew how to fix what has been broken
As easily as embroidery thread
I wish I could explain myself
As easy as it is for my hands to
Mindlessly coil textile strands
I wish I could repair us
As easily as I can repair a ripped seam
I wish I could take a needle of love
And a thread of kindness
And fix what is broken between us
I wish our love was like a broken pearl necklace
Where all I have to do is repair the knots
That hold us so closely together
But keeping us safely apart to prevent damage
I wish, fuck, I wish I could fix this
I wish we were tied together by fate
That the strands that bind can be mended
I wish we were embroidery thread
Or a ripped seam or strands of old pearls
I wish I knew how to fix what has been broken
