The Light of Her Moon

“Who would prefer the sunlight over the moonlight?” I often wondered to myself.

In quiet moments I pondered this.

The dark was much more appealing than the light.

The moon has powers the sun lacked!/what fools those sun worshipers were!


I sat naked in my rotunda that lies to the left of my garden.

The warmth of the single sliver of moon I saw I felt touch me.

And touch me it did. In ways that no mortal can.

Was there not magic to the night? Mystical essences at play for those who could see.


The night was honest, at times cruel, it loved but it was honest love.

Love that pulled no punches or offered any charades as the predictable day did!

“Can you not feel it?” The feminine energy, the feminine spirit tugging at all women!!

The Moon Goddess works through us we through her! An unwritten bond that lasts forever.


It matters not how you see her:

Luna/Artemis/Metztli/Rhiannon or Mani---she was and always will be

the same to all.


I could be hidden and feel her touch--a gentle nudge to my soul!

I can feel her equally be she full, new or a tangent in between.

I can bathe in the moonlight and let my spirit soar.

I can call the elements and cast a circle and feast before

Any ritual or spell is cast.

Hidden passages and verses best left that way!
