strongly opinioned piece, interesting read if a sad view of the world as it stands today.. i'm pretty sure each previous generation felt similarly regarding good manners & common sense and work ethics and morality etc..., etc..., etc.... :D

it would be sadder if i really believed the poem... but i'm an optimist and frequently see good manners, kindness, wisdom and all the others on the list openly on display but not lauded. it's true there's a social anomaly these past few years (no need to guess why), but it serves us to remember the bad stuff isn't ALL there is, and we need to celebrate the positives. like that state trooper who pulled a sick, unconscious guy out of his car with 2 seconds to spare before the train hit it.

We live in different worlds my poetic friend.
