Solitary Fuck
We lost faith
Been waiting for a saviour ain’t a clue how much longer we can wait
We lost hope
Been digging for our gold ain’t a clue how much deeper we can go
We lost love
Been looking for a drug that can give us something similar to trust
We lost soul
Been walking on our own for a long time it’s really getting old
Where’s our light?
Every single interaction is an accidental insult from a fight
Where’s our freedom?
Every single action taken needs a compensation in the form of reason
Where’s our peace?
Every single day another case of bodies being laid out on the street
Where’s our god?
Every single soul will rot if we keep on putting wants before our needs
Hear me Jesus!
Please, you got me out here begging on my knees
I feel weak
Jaws of depression, got me wedged between its teeth
I feel heat
Flames from beneath, burning at the soles of my feet
Hear me jesus
Jeez, There’s a limit on how loud I can scream
Loving you is more than complicated, it’s impossible for me
It’s impossible to think,
That we were made, each in your image when for many it’s impossible to see
Impossible to breathe
When the fumes we produce taint the food that we eat
When the truth always skewed by deceit and repeated
And when I need you
You never come through
What else am I to sacrifice
What else is there to do
I’ve given up lies
I’ve given up hate
I’ve given up desire for the fortune and the fame
I’ve given up fear
I’ve given up rage
I’ve given up appearances and tryna save face
I need hope
I need love
I need something that will pull me from the mud
I need strength
I need trust
I need something that’ll stop me giving up
But as long as we keep offering you our never ending love
you don’t give a solitary fuck
