Big enough
For the most willing

Phat in riches
And many opportunities
To prosper
But everything has a con

Has a funky side
Crime, corruption, and politics
To name a few
As I
An American
Born and raised
In a Democratic blue collard household
Where money
Was much needed for
Bills, bills, bills
But I
Could've chosen a different path
College
Bachelor and master's degrees
But blue collard
Runs in my veins
And I don't blame America
For how I turned out
But America
Hides its funky side well
From the outsiders looking in
And as I see America
Many opportunities
But for only a selective few

Where I call home
