Star Kissed

 
the stars know you...the hidden you
they quietly light your path so you don't stumble
they've sent you messages
love letters to reveal to you your private truths

we are star children
the celestial itself our home
wandering a terrestrial habitat
learning some humanity

infants we once were
the gods themselves nurtured us
our souls wanted for nothing
we grew into a fierce peoples
and our journey continued

learning here at the university of adversity
we are evolving in love and honor
some of us will ascend to higher dimensions
others will experience the nine circles
sadly they will learn what it is to hunger

the stars watch on eagerly as we progress
I've visited the nine circles
I pray to the stars today...
that I ascend to the higher realms of thinking

as it is written so shall it be
