Smoke

I can get you out of here
you murmured

leaning over to kiss me
your dry lips

tasting of tobacco
thank you

for meeting me in this well
of loneliness

I ‘ve been staring at the sun
its rays falls on me

heal me
my wounds are internal,

I can see you are bleeding too.
can we climb out

do you know ?
waking I wonder, was it a dream?

where are you ?
where is the well ?

or my loneliness ?
I reach out into the darkness

and imagine your warm shape
as love moulded

into my heart
my lips still tasting of smoke
