Furnace of Passion

You merely gracing my vision with your presence
had sparks ignited deep within me
Rapidly growing into a furnace that only but
your touch could extinguish
A thirst just your breath could quench
But like fire, it's well expected to go off
if the heat source is absent
within a bat-second it was all a blur
Not into two but a million pieces
my heart was shattered
with the beat of my heart gone,
left was all but a vacuum
A shell of it's former rhythm in it's place
The windows to my soul void of color,
branding me a grotesque
as i think cupid should have a rethink
