Live in My Water
Heart like a rock, place the rock in my water, like your body in my arms. It's okay for you to sink, I would never let her drown, I would never let you drown, no reason to skip on me. My lips on your forehead, her head on my chest, tears adding salt to my water, our waters now one. You could leave these waters, find some other waters, but the way these waters absorb you, the way I opened up to you, no such waters in the world. She leaves my water tainted, like a squid leaves trails of ink, why does the squid ink?
I offered something unchangeable for it was already changed, yet this squid, this rock, this her, tainted my water. Although she is safe, and I wont let her sink, like a shark seeking prey, there is no escape.
