Uncle Mort
Ten years ago my family lost someone near and dear to our heart
Mort was a very strong and healthy man and was always busy doing things
He loved his family and friends and was always there when he needed them
He was always humble and kind no matter the circumstance
In 2009 his cancer got worse and worse and he started getting weaker
It was hard on the whole family seeing you that way
Though he always kept a smile on his face and never showed any fear
On the night before he died I had prayed that God would heal him
Sadly the next morning my mom told me he had passed away
I used to think God ignored my request though now that I am older
I know God healed him the only way he knew how
He took away Mort's suffering and now he's up there smiling down upon us
Rest in peace uncle Mort I wish you were here

October 2 2009 I lost my uncle Mort to cancer. It's been 10 long years with out him.

Good write dear. Like your buddy said keeping his memory alive like this is a gift to hime and a testimony of how important he was to ya. Ive lost quiet a few over the years cancer and other things.
