Poetry’s Caresses
Let my syntax help you relax
as the sunlight begins to wax
May my cadence and fragrance
rock you into a blissful trance
Fingertips tracing words that drip
into your pores followed by a soft lip
Allow all alliteration to alleviate aggression
crisp conjunctions offering compression
If words are all that I can provide
let them at least be well applied
