1. Beggar
Begging for change is
Begging for no change at all
Status quo plays on
2. ASK
Ask once then ask twice
If no getting a response
Next try a face punch
3. Huff and Puff
He growls "let me in!"
There's a loud knock at the door
Big bad wolf calling
4. No Mercy
He begs for his life
Clearly a man on his knees
He should stand and fight
5. Green Miles
Death row prisoner
A plea for clemency denied
Can you smell the gas
6. Drowning
Let my people go free
Salvation from slavery
Red sea drowns slavers
7. My Plea
Plea is well ignored
Once, twice there won't be a third
Time to start a battle

Each has it's own particular revelation about it, delivered with economy, through the brevity of haiku. I always count on my fingers as I read haiku, even though there are so many forms lol.

counting on one's fingers is vital when writing Haiku, glad I don't have to count up to ten (NATO's) (LOL)
