Haunting

Just as dusk mirrors dawn
You were right, my fire of night
Everywhere we go, our haunting follows
In its tormenting song
Time has come to hallow you
Searching for your heart emblazoned crest
Beneath the crowned shade of tree and limb
Hunting your breathing between the lingering sun wept shadows
Hands stretching between the fronds of grass
The buds of flowers moist to touch in their morning’s dew
I find you there in all but sight
Fingers breaking earth beneath my grasp raise furrows parting at their roots
In our hidden world and it’s meaning
Fires rage grown from one and other
To the shade of shadow
You're sleeping ear I whisper
In mournful longing
Fuck me in this last light of night
Consume my body whole
Embrace my soul
In your shadow
For on this earth we are whole....
