Sadly
the reputation
of curiosity
has a basis
of fact
if one allows
ones curiosity
to grow
if one let's loose
the thoughts
of why

Then curiosity
like a snake
will slide under
what could be fake
to find the food
to feed ones mind
to feel
satisfied
with the reasons why

But there's a price
one has to pay
for ones bubble
will quickly decay

And instinctively
we know
so the fetus
of curiosity

Is aborted

Dragged out
kicking and screaming
by it's neck
vaccinated
against intent
to become nothing
but a shadow
