7 Year TRIB?? -- NO WAY !!

7 YEAR TRIB --- NO WAY !!   The 7 year TRIB idea is wrong because its all based on Daniel 9.26-27. And Dan. 9.26-27 is set in the 1st century, therefor its not about the EndTime TRIB. Here's the evidence that Dan. 9.26-27 is talking about the Roman-Jewish War of AD 66 to 73. This passage starts off with the crucifixion of Christ. For we read, "The Messiah will be cut off, but not for Himself"(Dan.9.26). he was the "prophet like Moses" that God promised in Deuteronomy 18.18-19.  God warns that "whoever will not hearken to My words which He shall speak in My Name, I will require it of him," meaning that God's Judgment would come. Logically, this means the curses in Deuteronomy 28 would be inflicted upon the nation. For it says in Deut. 28.15: "If you will not hearken to the voice of the LORD your God to observe to do all His commandments..then all these curses shall come upon you.." Then it lists several curses that have to do with war.Since the Jewish leaders demanded the death of Christ, logically the curses of the Law should come soon after the death of Christ.
And sure enuff in Daniel 9 in the same verse that begins with the slaying of the Messiah, there is a description of the punishment that the Jews received - in terms of the curses of the Law(Deut. 28.49-52). For we read, "The people of the future ruler shall destroy the city and sanctuary"(Dan.9.26). In other words, the soldiers of the army general who will become Caesar will destroy Jerusalem and the temple. Rome destroyed that city by breaking down the wall surrounding it. This fulfilled this curse: "he shall beseige your gates until your walls come down.."(Deut. 28.52). So there is no doubt about it, Daniel 9.26 = the curses of the Covenant of Moses coming upon the nation, due to the role of the Jewish leaders in the slaying of Messiah. We can sum up Dan.9.26 this way: the army general (future Caesar) will confirm the curses of the Covenant of Moses upon the nation. But if we use shorthand, it reads like this: he shall confirm the Covenant of Moses. And that is exactly what it does say in the next verse, verse 27: "He will confirm the Covenant.." -- which would mean the Covenant of Moses. In particular it means the curses of that covenant.
But Daniel adds, "with many for one week" of years. Since the curses = war & destruction, the words "for one week" means that the war would continue for 7 years. I ask you, does that part (about a 7 year war) fit the Roman-Jewish War of AD 66 to 70 ?? Of course not. But if we extend that war til the fall of the Jewish stronghold of MASADA in April of 73, we have a nice 7 years period. So I say, Yes, the duration of the Roman-Jewish War DOES fulfill Dan.9.27's requirement of a war lasting 7 years("one week") !!
The Fall of Masada in April 73: Mid 66 to mid 73 does add up to 7 years. After the fall of Jerusalem in AD 70,  the Roman soldiers were sent to the desert to build a ramp up the side of Masada, which took over 3 years' work. My point here is that the war continued after the fall of Jerusalem -- til the fall of Masada in April 73. The well reputed Encyclopedia Judaica even gives a dual end point for that war. Instead of giving 66 to 70, it gives 66 to 70/73 as the duration of the war !! It is giving its approval to AD 73 as a valid end point of that war,    If we count 73 as the end of the war, this puts 70 in the position of being the mid point of the 7 years or "one week." Daniel says the temple sacrifices would come to an end in the middle of the week of years. They ended in AD 70. So we are justified in claiming that Dan.9.27 is referring to the 7 years between mid 66 and mid 73. Thus we see that the 70th week of Dan.9 has NOTHING TO DO WITH THE ENDTIME...Is the Antichrist in Dan.9.27 ?? Since Dan.9.27 was fulfilled in AD 73, with the fall of Masada, that rules out the notion that the EndTime Antichrist is in this passage."The ruler who shall come" refers to Vespasian. He led his troops to besiege Jerusalem. That began the fulfilling of "the people of the future ruler will destroy the city.." They did destroy it, but by that time, Vespasian had become Caesar. So "the ruler who shall come" has NOTHING to do with the Antichrist. So please  forsake this "doctrine of devils"(1st Timothy 4.1).
The historian Josephus disproves the doctrine that "the ruler who shall come" = the Antichrist. Josephus started out as Joseph ben Mattathias, governor of Galilee, then he became a general during the Roman-Jewish War. After his capture by Vespasian's troops, Joseph interpreted Daniel 9.27 to refer to Vespasian, and told him so. He told Vespasian, "You will become the next Caesar." So when Vespasian went to Rome and defeated his rivals for the throne, he recalled what Joseph had predicted. He felt indebted to him. So he set Joseph, now Josephus,  up with a villa in Rome. But my point was that I am not the only one believing that "the ruler who shall come" = Vespasian,  NOT the EndTime Antichrist !! One more note: the destruction of the city by Babylon much earlier was referred to by Daniel as "the desolations of Jerusalem" (Dan.9.2).He spoke of the Law of Moses as "the Covenant" (Dan.9.4). Daniel called the destruction "the curse poured out..written in the Law .. because we have sinned against You"(Dan.9.11). Daniel uses the word "confirmed" - God "has confirmed His words which He spoke against us written in the (Dan.9.12-13). So when Rome repeated what Babylon had done, doesn't that deserve to be called the "confirmation of the words spoken against us."? Since the destruction of the city by Babylon = the confirmation of the curses, doesn't Rome's destruction of the city deserve to be seen, likewise, as the confirming of the curses? But if we use shorthand, we have "confirmation of the Law.." Or the Covenant.  So this explains the words, "he will CONFIRM THE COVENANT.." (Dan.9.27).
IF 7 YEARS ISN'T THE LENGTH OF THE TRIB, WHAT IS THE TRUE LENGTH? Christ said, "I come quickly" (Revelation 22.7, 12, 20). If those words apply to the start of the TRIB, this means that Christ comes SOON after the TRIB begins. We can paraphrase His words like this: "Once the TRIB begins, I will come quickly!!" So we look for a SHORT TRIB !! This rules out 7 years. or even "42 months" (Dan.7.25; Revelation 13.5). I looked for a short period of time that would fit. I found "5 months" (Rev.9.5,10) !! It fits. Why do I say that ?? Because the TRIB will be the time of Russia conquering/occupying Western Europe (Dan.7.8; Rev.13.7;17.8). The war preceding the occupation will be over. So the killing will end, for the most part. So the words of Rev.9.5 ("death will flee..) apply to the occupation of Europe. So Rev.9.5-10 fits the TRIB.
LOCUSTS OF IRON: Russia will occupy Europe with troops and tanks. The "locusts will have breastplates of iron," suggesting they are made of iron, and that they are tanks. They "make the sounds of chariots running to battle"(9.9). Well, what is the modern equivalent of war chariots, if not battle tanks ??!! LSS: the "5 months" of Rev.9.5,10 = the occupation of Western (and Eastern) Europe = the length of the TRIB. Now for the reason for the short TRIB(Matthew 24.22): Christ said, "otherwise NO FLESH WOULD SURVIVE". "BUT FOR THE ELECT'S SAKE the TRIB will be shortened." What is Christ talking about here ??!! Well, what IS the TRIB ?? It is the time Russia occupies Europe after bombing the USA(Rev 13.7).(Bombing America fulfills "the Beast will MAKE WAR against the SAINTS.. For we're the leading Christian nation. "Saints" refers to the Christians/Jews.) China is very mad at Russia for depriving China of its 2 top trading partners: USA, EU. China will get ready to go to war against Russia. By Christ coming ahead of time, this prevents that superwar from occurring !! That super war is what Christ is alluding to when He says, "no flesh would be survive." But for the ELECT's sake those days will be shortened" - Christians of Russia and China have suffered enuff already. PS: why don't Christians see 66-73 as the 7 years in Dan.9.27? Well, people think of the Roman-Jewish War as running from 66 to 70. They overlook the fall of Masada in mid 73, which gives us mid 66 to mid 73, a nice 7 year period.
