Conversations with Autumn

So, here we are
both of us
looking for redemption

In moments when
seasons dry
like sound

vaporising
in rustic
brown

I hear the voice
of my grandmother
and remember
how she spoke

like wind
on waves
Lately I find
She seeks me

And memories of
how my grandfather
always fondly disagreed

faint in amber
glow, the robin in my garden
wore that same glance
in his eyes

today
