Smallest Moments

My heart has chosen
It's path
After I've walked so far
Committed to my
Obligation
Turning around would be hard
In the past few years
I've become depressed
Emotionally hurt
Mentally a mess
The pain I hide
And the countless tears
I've cried
But to be honest
I'd do it all over again
For the smallest moments
That got me through
The good and the bad
For the laughs and smiles
Conversations which
Had lasted for miles
Adventures and care
I wish with everything
Inside of me would
Always be there
I attempted in every
Way
To make him proud of me
But his cruelty
And his games
Playing Mind Fuckery
Worsens each Passing day
All I want is
To feel that I’m loved
And the peace of
Mind knowing he cares
No matter how hard
I work or try
He doesn't
Which isn't fair
My heart is Completely broken
Wishing he'd change
Yet somehow I
Just already know
It'll always be the same
But he's my father
I love him with all
My heart
My love won't let
Me turn and walk away
So I continue to
My best to shine
Hoping he’ll open his eyes
Waiting for the day
I hear him say
'i love you my daughter'
'im glad to have had
You in my life’
