a Grave Fit For a Queen of Nothing
You could sit next to me
and never once hear me
scream
We could spend a thousand nights
tangled in each other's arms
and you'll never once see me
bleed
You could ask me if I'm okay
but you'll never know my pain..
I thought that if I carved it out,
the piece of me that kept me warm
I wouldn't desire anything beyond
the cold of this hell I told myself
would become my home
But all I long for now
is the warmth
of a genuine
embrace
the sweeter side of you
Im not allowed to touch-
eating away at the cavity
a hollow, fearful place I see
as desperation clawing
at my seams
Oh..
but I'm not sorry.
and never once hear me
scream
We could spend a thousand nights
tangled in each other's arms
and you'll never once see me
bleed
You could ask me if I'm okay
but you'll never know my pain..
I thought that if I carved it out,
the piece of me that kept me warm
I wouldn't desire anything beyond
the cold of this hell I told myself
would become my home
But all I long for now
is the warmth
of a genuine
embrace
the sweeter side of you
Im not allowed to touch-
eating away at the cavity
a hollow, fearful place I see
as desperation clawing
at my seams
Oh..
but I'm not sorry.
