Image for the poem Among others

Among others

She raises her dark
epilated eyebrows
Running

her perfectly manicured hand
Through her silken
straightened hair

From her italian leather handbag
documents bundled are covered
My tear stained vision seeks
an empty space

First all was pure, in whites
ever soaring skies
fade

She holds my fear
unfolding a black bordered envelope
I do not wait for her condolences

Into a gibbous moon I cried your initials
" Your divorce is now final"
She blinks shortly
 through fluttering
eyelashes

Death
I wrote a note
to you

Love
is a segment
of
unknown
consequence
