Autumn Dusk

silver shadows sweep the shore
blending with the mist
the sea silent
virtually unseen in the dark

rain spits across the sand
a downpour
the start of a gale

the hours pass
dawn, a new day

the people are cold and hungry
they carry torches and flasks
as they search for the missing couple
