Who's Looking Out For Me..
Looking in from the outside
Only those that can see
Not who I portray
But see the real me..
Looking in from the outside
A beam constantly
Projected upon my face,
Head held high
Strolling around
with style and grace...
Skimming over the surface
And what will you see
I'm Just playing a character,
Not being the man
Who I so want to be...
An actor..
Acting out a very poor written play
With the same shit happeneing
Day after day...
That's me...
Unless you can see
Unless you look deeper and find the real me..
But why would you want to..
Just wave at the happy guy greeting you at the door
Having a laugh as we crunch doing abs on the floor..
Let me praise you
And make you feel so fucking great,
Like I've known you for years,
Like friends
Best mates..
But maybe next time
Look deeper within
Fuck the surface
Deep down
Through the skin
Maybe people aren't all that they seem
Maybe there fighting
To escape a bad dream.
Only those that can see
Not who I portray
But see the real me..
Looking in from the outside
A beam constantly
Projected upon my face,
Head held high
Strolling around
with style and grace...
Skimming over the surface
And what will you see
I'm Just playing a character,
Not being the man
Who I so want to be...
