Daylight
We took the edge off
one last time
dropping further over
just so we could see
flowers highlighted her tangled up hair
scents of summer surrounded the air
naked, we, for a moment were set free
not giving but one bit of care
daisies danced around in the sunlight
we rolled and romanced under the trees
the highs, euphoric, withholding inhibition
we, one inside, with the breeze
love permeated through the dampness
music mellowed out in peace
righteousness, exploded in tune
daylight savoured,
it too would be gone soon
