Lovingly

I wait for you to wake,
slump on your side and wail into the darkness,
watch the wide, white Moon from the slit in the curtains,
wallow on simplest rest that once was mine
when my need for sleep wasn't secondary -
it just is existence now,
I don't begrudge it,
you call me when you need me -
you're never alone.
