temper tantrums

.i.
quietly
she sleeps now
a dormant volcano
whose lava
has crusted
along the lifelines
of my heart

.ii.
awake
she is a flame
that embers not
and when her fuselage
explodes
she panics
the fire department
into cardiac arrest

.iii.
jah knows
i only know
how to calm
her convulsions

.iv.
every time
my sweet songs
kiss her flaming tongues
she simmers in my arms
her passions driven
to hibernated
extinction

.v.
too soon again
she rocks the mountains
of the dubious world
with a myriad
of explosions
that hunger and thirst
for more of my
sweet simmering songs

.vi.
sweet and low
sweet and low
sleep
my little one
sleep
