There is saying from long ago that my grandmother once told me
"Don't spend your life chasing what may have been."
Once these words were strange to me never fully understanding
Though now I hear them loud and clear as visions of the past flicker in my mind

Spend it chasing the new dreams you have dreamt of all those nights
Changing stars and wishing upon beautiful sunsets
Spend your life making a life for yourself and you will succeed
