Yes, I smoke marijuana
But not just to get high
I love the good energy
All the positive vibes

I smoke so I can sleep
And also for my pain
Stay comfortably numb
So the demons go away

I smoke to uplift
My mood and my mind
I smoke to forget
All the tears that I hide

I smoke to see clearly
Though my eyes look hazy
My heart was once pure
But it's still kind of jaded

I smoke to calm the anxiety
I feel by just waking up
I smoke to ease the tension
Because reality is tough

I smoke to be myself again
So I don't have to fake a smile
I smoke so I can feel happy
