Ones that run so very deep.
Hidden pain buried so far.

Emotional battles everyday creep.
Very bad thoughts that may even scare me.
Wounds of the heart.

Nice dynamic use of metaphor.
After observing the mud
shoveled out upon us, so much pain,
do we not now seek out the night
or even light,
to dig ourselves out from this grave?
from these shadows?
Are we not the stars in this darkness?
