R.I.P Anthony Rose (10.13.1989 - 07.21.2019)

It been a minute since I last wrote any poetry…

But something happened that was way too close to me..

I wrote poetry for fallen friends, and I hoped I wouldn’t have to do it again for some time..

Well here we are, but I got a lot of things on my mind…

Another brother has made his way to heaven way too soon..

I was at work reading Facebook it was about a quarter to noon..

And there it was staring me in the face R.I.P Anthony Rose..

I did not want to believe it, so I reached out to someone who knows..

She validated something I did not want to start believing…

I was in the middle of work, but I could not stop myself from grieving..

I know Ant this took me a while to come around to write..

It is just things in my head were not right..

I did not want to do this half-assed cause that’s not something you deserve..

I just had to make sure I chose the right words…

You been a brother since I was 9 or 10…

When I found out this information my mind went back to then…

You were one of the first ones to welcome me to the block..

And ever since then it felt like someone just sped up the clock…

Growing up we shared a lot of memories..

Yeah we fought but we were always brothers never enemies..

These memories range from street hockey to just kid conversations…

Or from teaching me how to skateboard to some sticky situations..

These are the memories that I will forever cherish…

I will keep these memories alive till it is my time to perish…

But there are a lot of people you will continue to live through…

And that says a lot about you..

A really down to earth person with an amazing heart..

That was one of the things I sensed from you from the start..

You always had a smile plastered on your face…

That smile was there no matter the situation, it was very hard to erase..

Ant this is probably one of the most hardest things I will ever have to write..

Cause I still do not want to believe its true, cause it does not feel right..

But you are up there with Justin and John making heaven laugh with your goofy personalities..

There is times where I have to remember this is reality..

Just know that you have touched many people with your amazing
personality..

Heaven doesn’t know how lucky they are to have you..

To have you back there is nothing all the people down here wouldn’t
do…

Well my brother until next time rest in paradise..

Go and have fun with the other guys..

We will meet again, but until then bye…
