Silent as the Grave
Been a while since I
penned a poem,
but what with all that goes on
in the world,
its nice when people can be quiet
for a while
and just get along,
Instead of making so much noise
to drown out the fear
of being as
silent as the grave,
while a quiet life is all that anyone really wants;
the path of dependable demure diligence
has many beautiful leaves left in its wake.

It takes two to tango, but any amount above one to be quiet in solitude; not sure how many it takes to silent tango though.

Well said. Have a hurricane bearing down on us. I expect I'll have much time in silent contemplation in the subsequent power outage.

It seems that even with all the technology and business of modern global life, nature still finds a way to get us to be quiet and alone for a while. I hope the hurricane hurries along and hardly harries anyone too forcefully.

True; life I not always about being a busy buzzing bee and sometimes simply about being, just like a flower on the wall.
