a sad reality
A sad comment…
on today's reality…
We no longer have the tools …
for dealing with the stresses of everyday life…not to mention
those brought on by unqualified mendacious fools…
...in positions of power…

True words indeed, but I hear no one stays in power that long, evenfully they will all crumble down.

I believe the trick lies in outlasting
the nasties...I should live so long...
Indeed that might be...
the perfect revenge...
just hunker down and continue to be... Ely

Trouble is, whilst enjoying their power-mad moment of glory they cause humungous misery for many people - and then get replaced by the next psycho who does the same all over again.

Yes...I find the fatal flaw astounding too...but the timing might be enlightening...
We are three quarters of a century north of WWll and people appear to have forgot about the atrocities, the racism, the wounded and maimed...all the things going on again today...
there's almost no one left today... to tell the stories...that teach the lessons..Ely

For those of us who have suffered a life-time of generational hand-me-down war-trauma, I'm one who will not forget what my father & grand-father fought for. I have written a whole book on anti-war poetry, done as a means to expunge the nightmares - sitting unpublished on my shelf.
And isn't that the responsibility of the likes of my generation - to keep on about it and tell the stories of ongoing psychological 'warfare'. Now a whole generation is 'cannon-fodder' for corporate surveillance and money-as-debt wage-slave control - and they believe "it's just the way things are" - no, it's made that way, deliberately. {rant over :)) }

I work in human services and more and more I'm seeing people so stressed that they can barely function, sick all the time, always tired and unable to make basic decisions without agonizing over it. We're in the process of self-destruction if we don't make some changes, I think
