Sort of like one or 2 rotten potatoes corrupting an entire barrel

Dear A,
I’m pretty sure the wrinkled ones stomped in with the plump ones still make a mighty fine red. Nanna never wasted a thing! Lovely write and pic BTW.

Gotta get them when they first start; then the healthy ones can incorporate the bitterness. But, wait too long, and sometimes they're too far gone and would destroy a vintage, Honoria. I'm unsure humanity can undo the damage they're doing.
Thank you muchly for the read and kind words.

Me to myself: "Is this a political poem because there are no migrant workers left to pick the grapes?"
Also me to myself: "Is this wisdom of the ages simply written for those with higher intelligence to grasp and appreciate?"
RL: "Just come back to it once in while, it'll hit you"

The fewer the words, the starker the image.
The problem is not the source but the product.
Could there be evil in the best of us mutating to the natural tendencies of a fallen world? But who could we blame: the Creator or the spoiler?
Indeed, a thought-provoking spillage, Ahavati.
Sincerely
cab

By design of the creator the spoiled falls and creates a new bringing fourth more good but if spoiled otherwise its ruined and tossed

Re: Re. bitter harvest
Hi, Tim, and thanks. Yes; it is metaphoric for humans who waste so much time on spite and bitterness vs artful beauty and creativity.
I like your avatar btw.

My interpretation is that you are perhaps pointing out that destructive qualities like jealousy, anger and resentment spoil the abundance ( joy, compassion, fulfilment)?
