four years ago
she was sure of so many things
the man by her side
filled with so much hope
for their future

dreams would escape
his lips
through beautiful smiles
flashing eyes beaming
with enthusiasm
and love

he would proclaim,
where ever she was was home
that he had waited his whole life to
find her

she felt like he was her oxygen
finally able to breathe
after being suffocated for so long

she's tried so desperately to hold
onto that feeling ..

losing him crushed
her entire being
in ways she never knew
was possible

but she is here
and she is trying
