It was 1997 when they first met.
She studied drugs while he studied the set.
They were different but they had the same mind.
He preferred them up and down,
But the look in his eyes of brown
Had changed, hers were blue and kind.
When opportunity knocks the door,
She was welcomed to see once more
What he made, he always saved the best seat.
Late nights last ‘til the sun crept.
Been three weeks since either have slept.
They were dead for their hearts had skipped a beat.
His friends said she was stuck in the mud.
Hers claimed he stole her bud.
For once she thinks they are right.
She never gave him a reason to believe
Things will end badly if she doesn’t leave.
It was the first time and the last time to fight.
TIme goes by with every swig.
He looked thin, she getting big.
Every night he looks at that empty seat.
She hid everything she loved
In a layer of cloth, memories been shoved.
She never held it for it was alive with little feet
She studied drugs while he studied the set.
They were different but they had the same mind.
