A Glimpse Inside My Cover

I am a story
Of inconsistencies
Like a downpour
In full view of the sun †
Light as vapor
But with the strength
To drown you †
Never think †
For one second
You know me
Simply because I allowed
A glimpse inside my cover
Glossy paper makes
A poor read
If you ask me †
But keep thinking †
You have the whole story †
No, Iíll wait for those
Deep-minded †
Purveyors of truth
Swimmers of oceans †
Acceptors of my incongruent nature †
To come along †
And read the whole book
Who pick me up †
But canít put me down †
Until theyíve read the whole thing
With bleary eyes †
Well into the wee hours
Of the morning †
