Pretzel Knot
Reins and ropes
and all things that hold
will not bind me any longer
I'll set us free into a daydream
it's gonna be better than this reality
at least it's what I want to believe
soaked in wine laying on the floor
in yesterday's clothes.

Brava Nikki! This is a poignant piece. I had wondered why, as one who suffers from depression, do I get the urge to sleep so much. Dreams, glorious dreams! Alternate realities as you so well describe in this piece. I'm with Soledad when she says, "I too believe things will be better"
