Bedsplatter

Purity, saturation, the contamination of colours
Fiber-optic fingertips, a warmth emitting light
Speckled across the paint chips layered onto your nails
Peel back the paint
Like the wallpaper of your old bedroom
Give it life, revitalize the wood panelling from centuries ago
The colour splatters onto the walls
A replicated canvas of your teenage years
Layer after layer, you coat the past with new paint
Waiting for the mural to dry, as if you were waiting for a good thing to come
But nothing will come while you stare at the walls
So go outside, paint the world with your colourful brilliance
Like the mural in your childhood bedroom
