Water Glistens

Water glistens in the backdrop
as summer washes a heated day
the beads rise up and gather me
tempting the seas across her bay

waves seem rough above the surface
but there lies a calmness deep below
a beauty that's overcoming
as I'm sucked in her undertow

her blueness is light and it welcomes
I delve down into her verve
swimming beside her pristine waters
embracing uniqueness in every curve

I don't need the moon nor the stars
to shine for me
or the winds to take me on home
for I got you alone to guide me
to where our souls can truly roam
