Grief
Grief:
Tears run down my face as I weep
Such a short time, I wanted more
I only see her when I sleep.
My memories of her I keep
She died when I was only four
Tears run down my face as I weep.
My thoughts of her run dark and deep
The pain, it reaches to my core
I only see her when I sleep.
Rewards in heaven, she will reap
When she left me, my heart she tore
Tears run down my face as I weep.
Every night to dream, I count sheep
In dreams you dance on heaven’s shore
I only see her when I sleep.
Am I ready to take faith’s leap
She waits for me beyond life’s door
Tears run down my face as I weep
I only see her when I sleep.
Tears run down my face as I weep
Such a short time, I wanted more
I only see her when I sleep.
My memories of her I keep
She died when I was only four
Tears run down my face as I weep.
My thoughts of her run dark and deep
The pain, it reaches to my core
I only see her when I sleep.
Rewards in heaven, she will reap
When she left me, my heart she tore
Tears run down my face as I weep.
Every night to dream, I count sheep
In dreams you dance on heaven’s shore
I only see her when I sleep.
Am I ready to take faith’s leap
She waits for me beyond life’s door
Tears run down my face as I weep
I only see her when I sleep.
