The never was love story.

The story that never was,
the kisses never given,
the climaxes envisioned
and lost in hot dreams.
The story that never was,
the times we escaped
from the shackles placed
on our too fragile lives.
The story that never was,
the one that left us reeling,
the one that kept us apart,
the one that set us on lust,
the story that showed us
what could have been.

You and I.

You and I met
to show each other
You and I met
to destroy in each other
what was not needed.
You and I met
to give each other
the gift of absence
of bereavement,
of long hours wondering
on the whereabouts
of the beloved other.
You and I met,
for reasons not clear,
for questions unanswered,
for sorrows unhealed,
for smiles not bestowed
and for tears still flowing.

.Fear not.

Fear not, I shall not pursue
the fleeting joy of your company,
the evanescent sweetness
of your still boyish smile.
Fear not, your marble skin
will not have my caresses
unless you come to me, unbound.
Time passes and I go on,
your sweet memory stays near,
our paths have met and split
at crossroads of sun and stones.

And it is now…

And it is now I remember,
the way your hair curled
and your eyes smiled
It is now I remember
the way you stood,
the way you walked.
It is now I see minutes
shaping my perception
and life as it used to be.

Belonging.

Rose petals and old books
seem to go well together,
times gone and sadness
seem to dwell together,
champagne and candles
seem to belong together,
you and I are always apart
yet our souls burn together.
