Song For A Crofters Son
He said I give you my heart be gentle
she trod him up and down, high heel stilettos
now its warm beer and cold rum
a fist full of callused knuckles
broken bar stools and shattered ribs
White dragons and angel dust
lead the way down smouldering bridges
all those coffin nails smoking like a chain letter
friends crucified on embroidery pins
casualties, fallen not forgotten
How long can you outrun self vitriol
freebooter can you chase the sun
romeo can you dance in the moonlight
can you forgive your self
crofters son?
