Levels of living

So,
what do you wonder, you long lost soul?
What do you feel
as you lose all control?
You lived and you laughed
 through the fear and desire,
you tripped and you fell
down dark paths so deranged.
You slipped into sadness
secluding yourself,
you reached for relief and
 wished to be released.
You wandered the wasteland
without waiting for wisdom
 and it's a long, it's a long, long, long journey
through the levels of living.
