I like this. The message is positive, but isn't delivered with a lumbering hammer blow; instead it is rather more subtle and respectful of it's reader's intelligence. And the Houdini metaphor was clever. However, one aspect of this piece worries me, Abra. You're criticism of people who have no preferences towards religion or gender seems a little unfair (any agnostic bisexual who might be reading this poem may be slightly upset!). However, I don't really think that that was your intention, but rather you were chastising people who criticise other's for having preferences... Forgive me, I'm going round in circles here.

I think this is more related to hurdles which must be overcome, in order to transcend conditionings we are exposed to - in that a mind freed from these kind of choices may be closer to enlightenment - and that's a puzzle in itself - because what happens to that energy? But whatever one makes of it I apologise to any agno-bi readers who might not see it that way.

No, not at all Jack - your take on it is a perfectly valid one - and you know how highly I value your feedback. No need to beat yourself up, far from it you've succeeded in highlighting a possible aspect which I had not considered and for which you deserve credit.
