Desolate ...
Desolate ...
Desolate ...
My mind is desolate
Devoid of thought
Gone is rational reasoning
It’s a desert
An arid landscape empty of hope
Life has lost its spell
Not fooling this time
Just switch off the light
For the fire inside has long gone
Nothing out there to hold me back
The darkness is so inviting
A place of tranquility
The final solution a glint on cold steel
No more breath to fight

Purging is good, AP. That's another beautiful thing about poetry; it allows us an avenue to purge ourselves clean.

As far as the poem goes, excellent use of repetition in the beginning to convey the sense of one surveying his/her personal realm and coming up empty handed.
I do recommend spacing it like so to give the reader some pause to orbsorb that.
