Bad Cupids

Love is gentle and love is kind  
No need to shout it from the rooftops  
Real love does not brag nor boast  
The validity of love is easily established  
There are many pretenders to the crown  
So man bad Cupids impersonators out there  
Too many bathing in the love of their own ego  
Pretending to love all when clearly that's a lie  

The goddess and the universe have broken hearts  
They tire of false prophets and peddlers of filth  
Those evil wolves in the lamb of Gods clothing  
Those who hijack the very meaning of love  
Usually for their own nefarious purposes  
Targeting so many with hate and vile bile  
Showing their victims their true evil nature  
But hiding it in front of the masses lest they see  
 
They play a clever game of cat and mouse  
Pretending they are the mouse and not the cat  
But be sure, when you stand on their tails  
The hiss, spit and meow like feline banshees  
Confident in their narcissistic powers of persuasion  
It always comes as a shock when they are undone  
They felt untouchable, unbreakable, Invincible  
But eventually, fakers always get taken down  
So test the spirit of love by their actions  
Refusals to forgive is a clear sign that love  
Is indeed fake and a real expression of hate
