Webs of Life

Entagled, trapped and ensnared,
No way to move, frozen scared,
Spread defenseless, no escape,
Stuck in a web, free to take,
Stretched so thin, fight is gone,
Looking back, choice’s wrong,
Breath escalated, heart pounding,
In the dark, void surrounding,
No voice, no one to hear,
Fate is cruel, death is fear,
Suspended in air, it appears,
Tug and pull, eyes form tears,
Terror grips, the shadow eclipse,
Leg by leg, dread quivering lips,
It crawls closer, talons and teeth,
Jaw gapping, only darkness beneath,
No hope, no happy ending,
The many eyes,  outcome impending,
Beast now close, flesh feels breath,
Close your eyes, this your death,
Consumed by all, nothing left,
