Shake My Hand
You walk around in your suits
Dust all over your boots
Silent but deadly
Bullets in the air is your medley
Hindsight better than mine
Snappy when the time is right
Each moment is ever more surreal
So at you`re feet I should kneel
So as I pretentiously stand before you
Shake my hand, I implore you
You don`t know how you`ve influenced me
You make me smile, you make me insouciance.

The author encourages honest critique.
the last word doesn't rhyme with the previous stanza. insouciance's ending sounds more like "penance". with the rest of the poem rhyming, its a little awkward. but the content is great

Yes, I totally agree that it is awkward. I had a hard time finding a good rhyme, and that seemed to fit best.
