Time To Go
It's as if the sun had never shined
as it wrapped around the mires
the echoes off the cobblestone
the concrete crackling and cracking
both below and up above
the glug of death dissapated
drowning in the hands of time
and I admit I was almost out of time
one hand on the shovel with blood
dripping down unto the grave
grave it seems, the darkness, knocking
at all hours, unless silenced
and silenced it often was
the elixir of love ingrained
no explanation, a truth insane
I carry no burden, as if nothing underwhelms
I drift off into the unknowns
and when it's time
we all are left to go
as it wrapped around the mires
the echoes off the cobblestone
the concrete crackling and cracking
both below and up above
the glug of death dissapated
drowning in the hands of time
and I admit I was almost out of time
one hand on the shovel with blood
dripping down unto the grave
grave it seems, the darkness, knocking
at all hours, unless silenced
and silenced it often was
the elixir of love ingrained
no explanation, a truth insane
I carry no burden, as if nothing underwhelms
I drift off into the unknowns
and when it's time
we all are left to go
