A Placid Sea

The sunlight flows across the placid sea;
I smile to see the contrast, as the day
Slides into darkness and the fireflies play
Their games of hide and seek; your emnity
Forgotten for a moment, lets fear flee,
With dipping sun and its last golden ray,
Extinguished when the night cements my stay
Away from all here, knowing you'll still be
Intransigent despite quarrels ill-met
In sunlight, as you pushed with your demands
That fucked my thoughts and my fragility;
So, if you see my smile, will you deflect
This breakthrough or accept it to enhance
That gleam of moonlight on that placid sea?
