Image for the poem the mesh

the mesh

welcome to the mesh
the fabric throughout this space
where thoughts are collected
it covers every inch of this place

it spans out and flexes
like a blown up rubber balloon
but it contracts just the same
at least that’s what we assume

but also it’s bending or stretching
all the fine threads of our reality
pulling itself down like wool
creating some sense of duality

no matter how thinly veiled
we all must truly be
even if the fabric weren’t thin
we still would never see

we haven’t seen the sun
in more than a millennia
you can say we’re living in darkness
a heavily shrouded hysteria

but we just smile and wave
like we’re all stuck in a simulation
just embracing the ignorance and
seemingly content with our situation
