such as you or I
require daily feeding
lest we wither from lack
The truth is far more
ferocious - want
is a terrible Beast
in its becoming
made further ravenous
from prolonged fast
starved of what feast
spiritually sustains us
That's the beauty of it
my southern Belle
And I desire to have you
over for dinner
